Pastor Phillip Gaillard
Phillip Gaillard was appointed by Bishop Johnny Johnson as the pastor of Miracle Tabernacle COGIC on March 25, 2011 during the Triad Convention. He has humbly serviced the people of God for nine delightful years. His servant’s heart keeps him submitted to the will of God for his life and the church. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business / Human Resource Management degree from Columbia Southern University.
As a young man, Pastor Gaillard married his high school sweetheart, Missionary Raephine Gaillard. As of June 23, 2020, the couple will be married for 36 blissful years. The Galliard’s are the proud parents of three sons, all of whom are saved by the blood of Jesus: Ricky, Dellroger, and Michael. They have also been blessed with three wonderful, God led daughters-in-law, Aimee, Megan, and Rachel. From those nuptials the Lord has blessed them with ten beautiful grandchildren. He thanks God for the godly legacy of his family.
The pastor's early work was based in the United States Army. God kept Pastor Gaillard in his care as he carried out a number of military assignments, including fighting in the Desert Storm conflict. Upon his return from Desert Storm, Pastor Gaillard began his work as an Army Recruiter in Conway, South Carolina. He utilized this role as opportunities to not only provide vocational guidance and offerings to youth, but also to teach them that their primary job in life is to seek God through His Son, Jesus. His charismatic and humble manner has allowed him to gain the respect and attention of countless youth who have taken him at his word in choosing Christ.
Refusing to abandon his loyalty to God, country and mankind, he was employed by Horry County Schools as a JROTC instructor for 10 years. He served as a personal growth catalyst for youth at Loris High School, as an adjunct professor at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, as pastor of Miracle Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, and wherever he goes.
The divine ministry of Pastor Gaillard began through the Jerusalem Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Superintendent David Johnson. Then pastor became affiliated with Mason Temple COGIC, led by Supt. James Lee, in 1994 and remained a loyal servant of that church for seventeen years. While there, Pastor Gaillard experienced phenomenal Christian growth through his service as Sunday School teacher, Asst. Supt. of the Sunday School, President of the Youth Department, President of the CH Mason District Youth Department, Vacation Bible School Coordinator, and as President of the Men's Council. God used this venue for Pastor Gaillard to teach men to be loving leaders, protectors, and providers for their families as the Bible instructs. The council endorsed the tenets the pastor lives by as the head of his household, the acronym ROAR: for Respect, Ownership, Accountability and Responsibility.
Pastor Gaillard's outreach ministry has included a radio broadcast on WPJS (1330 AM), "Let's Talk About It". Through this broadcast, the pastor tackled issues that regularly plague men, youth and families, offering hope in teaching that human struggles are neither isolated nor without solutions. The principal of Homewood Elementary School, Penny Foye, and Horry-Georgetown Technical College Dean of Education, Gregory Mitchell invited the pastor to take the "ROAR" message into their respective venues to minister to parents, staff and college students alike. His ministry expanded to Jamaica, where Pastor Gaillard, with Bishop Kamal Frazier, conducted a week-long Bible school, impacting the lives of hundreds of children and adults for 5 years. In Augsburg, Germany, the pastor led a Bible study group with African refugees. He has an international presence, and tirelessly pursues the work that God has placed before him. His ministry is a continuation of his unwavering commitment to draw men unto Christ. His motto is: “to reach the height of greatness you must climb down”, meaning you must humble yourself.
Our Pastor's blessed and lovely family.
